Madeleine had her Spring ballet recital this weekend and it was one of the cutest things ever! This is her in her Pixies and Fairies costume for the first song her class danced to. And the video is from their second number, "I'm a Little Yellow Fish." She was a bit distracted by her fan club (her brother and cousins and friends) sitting right in front, so there was a little hiccup in her start. We are so proud of her performance! They put on a mini recital at Christmas time that didn't go very well for her. She was too shy/nervous/traumatized-by-our-car-having-been-broken-into or something to dance even one step. But she had a lot of fun with this and we are so happy! Anyway, the video is a little long (and I didn't get the whole song) but it's really fun. Spencer got better video on our camcorder so this one didn't have to be amazing (thank goodness because it isn't). And since it's small you might not be able to see the best part of her performance--she's singing along to every word. Just darling!!

That recital was so fun! Thanks again for inviting us, the kids had a great time & so did Mark & me. Have you thought about how amazing it is that Maddie even KNEW all the words to that song? That is pretty impressive for a 5 year old!

Okay - this post must have been a clever plot to remind me that I - a ballet enthusiaste, and lip gloss addict, still do not have a child that lets me curl her hair, tie the bow on her dress or attend her dance recital. Are you trying to KILL ME??????
